The night before Halloween we attended Disney’s California Adventure for the Trick-n-Treat fun. My boys dressed as Frozen Banana and a ‘Chilly’ Dog seemed to love every minute of it. The park felt very empty since they really limit the tickets to this event. We were able to walk on Soaring, Screaming and a few others. And the candy! There are candy stations everywhere….and they filled the boys bags quickly. We may or may not have encouraged them to go to the GODIVA candy stand more than once (hey, it is Mommy’s favorite!). I got a good giggle out of the ‘candy’ stand that was attempting to hand out bags of CARROTS. It was a charming attempt to be healthy, but no kid was going for it! The absolute best part of this event? THE MUSIC. It is loud and awesome all over the park. And there little dance ‘clubs’ set up where we danced and had an awesome time. (middle photo is Tucker helping out with a tambourine)
See the scarecrow? He was alive! And basically was just chatting with people and doing a stand up routine. Or a ‘Hang Up’ routine come to think of it. So fun.
Don’t recognize the creepy alien guy in the first photo? Well, he is NOT a Disney character. We saw him appear while we were watching some Disney Dancers getting down and within seconds he was surrounded by Disney employees trying to determine his identity. See Disney is very very clear about NO MASKS at this event. And obviously this guy went to a lot of trouble to sneak on in and dress inside the park. My kids wanted a photo with the creepy guy- who was probably just trying to get more mileage out of his old Comiccon costume….and I felt safe with the swarm of Disney employees around. I talked to one guy and he said they would ask him to remove the mask or leave the park. I appreciate Disney being all over this…
And on that note- the costumes were wonderful. nearly everyone dressed up. It was all I could do to refrain from photographing STRANGERS adorable children. Have you ever seen a 1 year old wearing (and dancing) in a Chubaka costume? I have. Too adorable…
And I bet you never knew Goofy was such killer dancer huh? Check this out…
I am going to publically admit it right now.
I love this song.
Happy Halloween everyone!!!
